The first 6 tracks are pretty much just random incoherent bullshit
First half = GOAT
second half = feels too disjointed from the first half.
With the exception of Freestyle 4 the first 9 tracks are perfect.
The next 9 seem like they are a bit all over the place. Waves is kinda shit to me, and some of the other tracks felt more like material that shouldve stayed part of his Good Fridays series. If it was 10-14 tracks it would have been a much tighter and cohesive album. Good album, not great.
I think I would like this album more if I hadn't heard 80% of it beforehand.

you have to go to school to learn how to engineer music - the mic-ing technique, balancing levels, mixing/mastering, etc.
but "producing" music is what Kanye does. He makes it hit, thump with that nasty aggresssion, or lul, lilt, and bob on the softer tracks. You can complain about peaking, but Kanye doesn't care too much for that. He will fuck up a beat to make it speak to you, fidelity and production technique come second to the musicality of it all. Always.
