Thats like your opinion man. How is Jazz not fun? Sure there are a lot of very specific music theory concepts used to describe the most complex standards, but in the end, it's all about those grooves.
Similar things could be said about most experimental kinds of pop music (minimal synth, kraut, etc.).
When it comes to classical traditions it is less fun in the sense of entertainig, but it tends to be more moving or spiritual. It is usually suposed to be beautiful, in the old sense of the world.

I can agree with that, and its the reason I hated the ending so much. He should've gotten his dues at the end. The movie was thrown off balance since (from what I remember) he nodded and smiled at them and walked off in the distance, happily ever after the end.
He needed to get anally fucking annihilated and told he was a hack and completely hijacked the band and was a bad person. But no, he looked at them from a distance and walked off in an extremely cliche way.
