Here's my Bandcamp, and my new single that's on SC which I hope that you'll check out.
It's been a while since I wrote here, or uploaded music.

This new single called "Worth It" has some Toronto vibes, over "trappier" production than what I've previously done.

Alright, I can see this work. It's pleasant actually, at least from the composition perspective. I do hate the mixing on this piece. Sure, I know it suppose to be loud and noisy, but really? That amount of noise and that looseness of the sound really wear my ears off. Work on vocals too, they seems to feel in a different place than the rest of the track. But I did liked shelter ep, so I guess you know what you're doing. Focus on mixing though, dreadful as all hell (for me of course).

Yep, that's trap alright. I'm not going to dwell into this one too much. It's just so, um, unoriginal. I bear in mind that it is your first release so I wish you all the best. Couple of things though. One - if you want to focus on ambience - remove these generic hi-hat sounds. They sound really out of place and powerless. Also, I can't see one solid direction in your work which is not something I'm up for...

Just made this page a couple months back, what do y'all think of my recent tracks?

https://cannibalholocaust.bandcamp.com/
>>
>>61981110
Yeah, it's OK. Nothing special, just OK. Which is surprising even for me. The mix is quite nice, I sense some vibes on your tracks which is quite nice. But nothing else, really. A medium size pieces with not much variety or anything exceptionally magical or anything.

>>61981181
Sure, I'll bite. I hope you'll at least listen to some people out here and not leave this thread like most. And... oh my God! Another trap Bandcamp... Here we go again. I liked time, mostly because it wasn't so down all the time and sounds were upbeat and pretty. Would shake my butt a few times to that. But then again, that trap aesthetic is really much pointless on this track and I just don't get it. There are more elements, more sounds you could use to make the same piece with a stronger effect and it would sound original, beating all of other "experimental" beaters alike... lupo and toro are okay, nothing spectacular. The mixing on toro sounds a bit dirty, not solidified in some form of an idea. lupo in that regard was much better. But, again, that trap aesthetic, hgggh!
Sorry, I can't be a greatest judge but at least you've gain the "opinion" from a guy who fucking despise boring trap songs. Hey, it's at least something.

Also, anons, don't be fucking "post n' run", please...
>>
>>61981283
don't like the typical trap aesthetic that people rely on either, just wanted to make those tracks because am trying to branch out with different styles to show off what can do. A lot of my tracks have the fast high hats, but that's not really trap n my opinion. thanks for the response

Aw, I guess the abrasive-ness can't be in everyone's taste. Thanks though!

I think when I listen to solo music I like it to be a bit more stripped-back/minimalistic, your stuff was a bit too progressive for me, I think. It's cool, though. Just not really my cup of tea.

>>61981455
I didn't know what to expect when I read all those genre tags, but this was pretty cool! The field recordings really add to the atmosphere of the entire thing and at some point I even got Kashiwa Daisuke-kind of vibes from it. I will say that I enjoyed the piano and synth-y tracks a bit more than the ones with guitar, though. But yeah, rad stuff.

Thank you very much for the kind words. I gave a listen to a couple of your tracks from Castle on Glass and I like that minimal piano style you have there. I'm also listening to Beleaguered by Sound 1 at the moment and I'm enjoying that a lot so far. If I had any criticism to make I'd change your artist bio to be less self-deprecating, people don't want to hear how you "know noting about experimental music" before listening to some of your experimental music. You're good enough to not put that there.

dresses (crimson) (6/10 cover) is really interesting, tho its pretty noisey it still feels catchy as hell, i think the whole thing comes together very nicely and the vocals actually work in the song, something i don't see very often
shelter EP (4,5/10 cover) has the same qualities that i just talked about.
mold tho way less hard on the noise and actually a little more interesting because of the layers the song has
ein gespräch has the really gentle intro that then develops into this wall of noise that then begins to make sense as another pretty cool song
and shelter is just relly goddamn cathy

i like the sleek page design. i really like your selection of sounds and samples on that opening track. but for the most part, it really isn't my cup of tea. So far, Slots on the Beach is a bit more interesting. I like the mix of distorted chiptune beats with the claps.

>>61982321
taking the thread's "rate each other's design" thing at heart, I really need to let you know that the banner warrants an immediate dismissal of your music. which sucks, cause the music is actually really good. that first track hits all the lo fi powerpop nerve in all the right ways. I actually really like this. Just get rid of that banner.

Oh, this is just dreamy. Now I'm not a giant fan of alternative music or indie rocks alike but I really like this release. It's short, sweet and despite not being really original, it keeps things nice and simple, pure and full of that alt energy. And it's really interesting to where you would guys go from there. I'll keep my eye on you anons! My complain would be a bit better mixing of drums and bass - they sometimes come too much into the foreground. Other than that - really, really sweet!

>>61984988
Okay, this is not my cup of tea so bear my opinion on the really, really low but damn, this sounds like a Christmas themed collection of songs. It's not like this is bad or anything but it's... awfully weird! I can't listen to this without a slight giggle here and there. Now the mixing isn't bad but please, lower the volume on your tracks. It's too loud for a good, proper and full listen. Now I can't give your stuff a full recommendation or anything but this is by far the only album on these threads that leaves me completely speechless and empty. I can't really write anything about it to be quite honest. So, yeah. Good job, I guess

cool, i actually like this response a lot. it's funny you mention it sounds christmassy, because i put this album's final touches on hold to make a christmas album with my roommate (the recommended album on my bc).
what do you mean by lowering the volume? like on specific pieces?
>>
>>61985342
No, the whole album sounds too loud for me. And I don't even listened to it with my volume put on the highest settings. I think if you would listen to in on the headphones you would see what I mean (or at least I hope so)
>>
>>61985398
i've listened through it a ton with headphones. wouldn't the solution be to turn down your headphones if it's too loud? do you mean it needs more quiet moments to contrast the loud ones?

>>61985514
If the solution was to turn down my headphone volume then I wouldn't comment on it, would I? I guess the fact could be made that the contrast is a bit off, yeah
