I totally disagree. I know The Knife's discography very well. I can tell you that they have some amazing songs but also some drivel. Only Silent Shout is a solid album start to finish. Sure, The Knife were more experimental but they're clearly worse songwriters than Ladytron. Also Ladytron never released a failure like Shaking the Habitual.
The Knife is a band more to be admired than loved.

Hoping for a better album than Gravity The Seducer, which was okay but they can do much better than that. My biggest fear is that they go the edm/american festival road like some other acts have done... But I can't believe that would happen - they have too many interesting synths/gear and don't look like a band that would sell out just to cater to teenagers.
By the way OP, since we discussed about it the other day, PSB just posted on fb today. There's a new album coming this Spring. This could be a great /electropop/ year.

I don't think that will happen. They always stayed true to their sound. They wanted to make a dreampop album, they did it (Gravity the Seducer), so the next album could be industrial-synthpop or something.

They don't have big range but they compensate with very pleasant vocals. Their vocals are very suitable for their music.
