Hawkwind's precursor to very long career in rock. The tracks organized here were taken from a jam session titled "Sunshine Special," each track being a reference to a drug experience. It's quite different from their future endeavors, but still a lovely trip all the same.

This is where the shit gets going. I love their s/t but the opening 14 minute track here lets you know what the fuck these guys were about in the best ways. Soaring saxaphones taken to full after their travels in the first record along with fantastic drumming. Everything that made the first album great is amplified in all the right ways.

I honestly don't know which I like more, this album or In Search Of Space. They're both just so fucking good. Like Amon Duul II, Hawkwind achieved their peak in their first three LPs and they are gems to be treasured by any fan of krautrock/psychedelic rock.

Described by advertisements as "88 minutes of brain damage," this double album was recorded while touring for the promotion of Doremi Fasol Latido. Includes new material as well as tracks from In Search Of Space, generally carries a heavier sound than the studio versions used to amazing effect. The track Brainstorm off of Doremi never sounded better.
