The second half of Surfer Rosa is the best part of it though, and not because OK GO mentioned it.
Doolittle has the better songwriting , Surfer Rosa doesnt have Hey , No 13 and Gouge Away near the end , in fact the second half of Surfer Rosa just goes full experimental

I don't think so, like >>61904450 said, it kinda falls off after cactus. The last five songs are interesting and listenable but nowhere near as good as the first 8 songs.
I also find Doolittle a slightly better albim because of this. Just barely. Surfer Rosa's best songs are also slightly better than doolittle's best songs though but barely

M8, Vamos is the best song they've done. Excluding Tony's Theme, which is awesome but a total joke, the last songs on it are very well written. I still don't know anything quite like Brick is Red.

Yeahbut vamos was just a remake of a song they'd already recorded. Brick is Red is pretty good though. The last 5 songs are decent compared to most bands, but I just feel like they don't stack up to the rest album. Still an amazing album overall though and one of my favorites

Rosa.
Doolittle was my entry point into pixies so I've heard it more. I feel Surfer Rosa has more to offer though. Both fantastic works.

I'm sorry but the songwriting and timbres they explore are just way more creative. Doolittle hits harder but it's less surprising.
