all my friends are black and only listen to surface level rap Drake, Jcole , Partynextdoor, kendrick and dad rock. They DONT like Ab soul, Death Grips, Chance, Childish, and Outkast. They legitimately think Drakes Take Care is the best album ever made and OutKasts only good song is Ms Jackson. I hate them

One of them likes shitty juggalo rap, I don't know why. One of them likes the type of stuff that's posted on the youtube channel Majestic Casual (friend who likes chillwave also likes that a bit). Another is super into the NYC hardcore scene and goes to shows all the time. And another two likes indie and fantano-core. The other ones I have I don't really talk about music with

I have a group of friends that are all black except for me and another guy. whenever I play a new album for them the other white guy will look at the black guys to gouge their reactions to see if they enjoy it or not. I played SpottieOttie in the car once with just me and him and he's like this is really good man and I play it in front of all my friends and the black guys hated it so he followed along and told me to turn it off lol.

Then I started getting into generic hipster indie rock bullshit like The Strokes, The White Stripes, The Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys.
I stopped listening to rap completely for a while but got back into it after I graduated high school (22 now).
Lately, I've been listening to a bit of chillwave and the occasional motown funk/soul. I make more music than I really listen to these days

I used to think I was the only person in the world who enjoyed Portugal. The Man until I went to a show and I was amazed at how many people knew all the words.
