My vote goes for Godspeed You! Black Emperor, tries hard to pull at the heart strings but it sounds like retarded video game music. Disappointing.
Not having vocals doesn't work and they also have the worst band-name of all time. A zillion times worse than Swans, Talk Talk, Slint and basically every other band that's ever existed. In fairness i've only listed to that lift your skinny fists album.

The thing about /mu/ core albums is that they grow on you, as you go through life, /mu/ core albums go with you. I never used to get this album either, but now it's one of my favorites, "sleep" is beautiful.

ITAOTS is personally the worst /mu/core album I've tried that I've also properly given a chance. I didn't like Loveless much but I only tried it once and wasn't paying too much attention so I don't think it's fair to say.
But yeah, ITAOTS is just really not for me, the vocals and the lyrics just really turn me off to this album as a whole.
I kinda get the love for it, because I enjoy AJJ and they have a lot of hype and they're in the same vein as NMH, it just isn't for me.
