They only have two albums, and while their second is literally /mu/core, the first was bad alone from the composition, and the awful production made it worse.

But it's so damn quiet, I have to turn the volume up to the max to hear anything. Albini's mixing back then was waay too soft, even on Big Black's records.

Yeh, I'm listening more and I think it's pretty bad. There's a lot involved in making an album sound good that isn't just about the producer. If the composition or performance is bad then it's going to sound like shit no matter how much you tweak the sound. Your producer has to be enjoying it to really help you get the sound you want. If i get a chance I'll ask him about it today.
