Station to Station, which interspersed through it's drug-addled journey it delivers the harrowing and plaintive cry of Word On A Wing, and lastly the heartfelt Wile Ist The Wind..
The Next Day is pretty feelsy in a way since it was Bowie's return. Just listen to "Where Are We Now?" and you'll tear up, or I did anyway.
Heathen.
Also "Hours..." is quite sad now.
>tfw I can sing Ashes To Ashes really well except I always choke up crying by the second refrain
:'3 I don't know what it is about this song, the music is so powerfull.
WHEN YOU ROCK AND ROLL WITH ME
THERE'S NO ONE I'D RATHER BE

For me it's the "my mother said" part, I understand it to be Bowie's claiming to be done with music as an art and understanding it as a business, which he did after Scary Monsters

Yeah I can't get past that outro either but that's mostly the overall music, but when singing it I lose it by the "never done good things" line. Bowie's performance on this is so powerful and emotive, there's a real feeling of longing in his voice. The album version has a longer intro and an extended bit after the first chorus which makes that second verse really come in strong. In fact this song is perfect and probably the best song ever.
Reality is his most personal album, besides Blackstar
