Why would anyone ever need these. Look up some random songs and for the ones you really like listen to whatever albums they're from. It's easy after that

Also, being a Buckethead fan, I was not impressed with the chart I saw. Start with Giant Robot.

I haven't listened to half of the mu essentials. Discovering music isn't that difficult if you have a genuine interest.

If I'm unfamiliar with a certain artist/genre sure I'll ask for recommendations, one or two albums. An entire char tho???! l o l

>>61793373
Then simply download the albums, obscure artists like that tend to not have very large discographies. If they do? Then pick some at random. Coolest cover art, interesting album name etc. You're clearly interest in them for a reason. Do you know the person(s) that made the chart, is their taste 100% the same as yours??? Just take a chance with it and try not to seek validation

I started with Albino Slug. Listening to it now. It's amazing. Is Giant Robot similar to it?

>>
>>61793306
Some people are interested in important and influential albums. But you're right, we're just /mu/sheep.
>>
>>61793572

Not necessarily, but Giant Robot makes for the best introduction to his music. It sets up his ridiculous backstory shit, but remains thoroughly enjoyable.

Decoding The Tomb of Bansheebot is where I'd go next if you loved Albino Slug.

Charts are oriented towards explaining what the album's main shtick is about, not the opinions on the albums. Some artists implement completely different sound from album to album and it would suck if you just discarded the artist if you accidentally took a chance with their worst album.

Tough one. Techno is very broad, there are tons of great releases, and as with all EDM there are two completely different approaches to it: either getting albums and EPs as with any other genre (but you're mostly getting "techno for home listening" that way, a lot of it is great but it's not what the genre was created for), or digging for single tracks and mixes, recommending labels and artists instead of releases (what /bleep/ is about).

That said, here's one I found. It only covers one subgenre of techno, but arguably the most important one so it's a good start.
>>
>>61793844
Thanks m8
I like minimal techno but I don't much about techno in general
>>
>>61793899
Get some Monolake, Basic Channel, Porter Ricks, Sandwell District too. If you like it minimal but with a glitch side, Death of a Typographer by Byetone is cool; if you like it darker and almost ambient, Senking's first release is really good.

And although the website itself isn't very good for electronic music in general (Discogs is better, and you can find some good stuff on Resident Advisor), you can still find some tracks to get started in these lists: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/TheScientist/rym_ultimate_box_set__techno/

If you mean just painting lessons for a few bucks then sure, but if you wnat to be an artist you will just waste your time studying anything else at college.

And remember, in theory, anything can be learned on your own.
