I can appreciate (even if I don't love) pretty much every golden age to mid-90's hip hop group (and most solo artists) except these two and Pharcyde and Beastie Boys. Honestly I don't see anything redeeming in Tribe's music especially, but also DP, Pharcyde, and BB. Is it just because I'm jaded from all the knock-offs they spawned, a la Seinfeld? Main Source, Eric B & Rakim, Ultramagnetic MC's, Gang Starr, Hieroglyphics, etc. are all essential listens to me, but I just can't get into those 4 groups no matter what I listen to. My tastes are gerrymandered by something, and I can't figure out what it is.
