This album is creepy as fuck holy shit.
>Gorazde - The Catechism
>somewhat Avant-Garde Stoner Doom
It's like the album a hippie turned serial killer would make. Literally lyrics talking about killing people over both tonal and completely atonal rifs. I think the worst part about it is that it's not that heavy, so like you're forced to hear every single thing going on, rather than being drowned out in the noise. The vocals are really fucking unnerving too. Cool and creepy shit.

Nah it's not just Paganini. Basically any old style composer will be neoclassical. The leadwork just needs to have tonality that's in the 12 western scales. IIRC, I think most popular music use pentatonic scales.

yeah my biggest problem with them musically is that they're going for that occult black/death feeling but the pristine NukeBlast production destroys the mysterious/esoteric vibe that aesthetic is all about.

or maybe i'm misinterpreting behemoth's aesthetic goals, i mean their music videos have the aesthetic of later Dimmu
>>
>>61594514
Well I mean Malmsteen doesn't deserve all the credit. Plenty of other 80s guys made that style popular too. Really the only requirements for neoclassical metal is to play a bunch of technical leads based around the 12 scales. It's not specific to Paganini, and you can hear bands in this style rip off of other composers all the time. Plus, emphasis on virtuosity is also pretty normal in classical music (basically everyone writes a concerto).

You can say you don't like an album.
But saying a band is bad when they have released numerous critically acclaimed albums, at a certain point you can think they are bad all you want but you have to admit they have value to others.

This is how everyone should think at all times. It receiving populist acclaim shouldn't affect this measurement in the slightest

People generally are stupid and don't have interesting taste in music, nor good philosophy. One persons sense of good might be completely irrelevant or alien to my own sensibilities.

It's more or less a continuation of the same style (no surprise this time). I'd say it's slightly more technical this time, and I gained a deeper appreciation for Reanne (the keyboard guy). In comparison to other Tech Death? I mean, you can compare then to stuff like Beyond Creation, or Scale The Summit if you want to stretch it, but yeah, that's just you. My mind is a orgy of colors whenever I put on Sapphire.

well i trust their melody-writing ability (if not their ability to follow through and develop the melody) so i'll hold out hope they can write stuff on their full-length that makes me as giddily happy as the intro of Akane.

also, is the new Roman So Words album something i'd be into? I've been the teeniest bit reticent about doujin power since i got massively disappointed by Marchen Station - well maybe disappointed isnt the right word but yeah

It actually does give me a bit of an ear-ache sometimes too, but to be honest, I've gotten conditioned to abusing my ears with loud volumes... So if I just wanna hear really loud, pretty technical stuff, the brickwalled vices fade away. It's only when I try to listen to it at a softer volume that it becomes irritating.

Whenever I turn the volume up, this just isn't a problem for me.
I can see someone's point about it maybe not sounding the best when played at softer volumes, but desu i haven't listened to it for a while, so I wouldn't know. It's very well mixed for an album that more or less has DsO level layering at times.

It's just a username that i like using, i think the fact people here are being so rude towards someone just because he likes using a username is absolutely ridiculous.

The fact i keep using this username, is because i really like having a username and because i have the full rights and freedom of choice to have a username. it is not my fault that people in this site are often being immature and ridiculous over someone who merely has a username.

Also, please look in the archive for my posts, you will see that my posts are contributional and music related, and not only that i contribute music related content by myself, i also encourage others who make off-topic posts to start posting on topic.

Finally, the choice of having a username or not is completely unrelated to all of this. 4chan has the option to have a username, if i want to use it, im going to use it. that's all there is to it.

Suicide is not reasonable.
The very fact we get to live at all is absolutely amazing - the fact i can see things, hear things, enjoy art, experience beauty, experience anything at all - the fact all of this has happened is absolutely incredible, and i think people should appreciate life more and realize how infinitely superior they are to the other option.

>>61597953
The fact some people made wrong choices does not mean they are "too weak to live", that is an horrible sentiment.
