True, it just seemed to me that you had a tryhard patrician phase, which is completely fine especially with tripcode on /mu/ (one has a reputation to build and protect), during which you discovered quite a few artists you actually enjoyed, but realised nevertheless that you preferred albums you were into in your prior, transitional stage.
I'm really only thinking so because I feel the same way about the music I listen to on a daily basis. I don't try to prove anyone anything, just look at my chart; nothing is "really out there" or highly experimental. It's mostly just your regular old Rock and Pop and their respective subgeners. But I have found that I prefer those over most of the music that would give me a lot of /mu/-cred.
