My collection so far. It's taken a while to build this up, it's not like I won the lottery or anything. Been playing for about 15 years or so now. I love my SGs and the 335, and all the basses.

Mark Knopfler
Neil Young
Eric Clapton
David Gilmour
Eric Johnson

Sandberg, what the fuck? They don't offer this colour without the aged finish, you can't get nickle mechanics without the aged finish. I'm sure a call or mentioning it during the order will sort that out, but why would they do that? Their configurator is super cool but sometimes it's just stupid like that.

Literally what I was complaining about, I want that colour but without the relicing.
Also, I've been looking at a P-bass for a while now and before I buy a Fender I might as well go Sandberg again and have an additional bridge PU when I need/want it.
Matched headstock just looks better IMO, can't see ehx you wouldn't want it.

>>
>>61559320
my bad, reading comprehension fail

as far as I know the configurator just generates custom orders so maybe you can get in touch with them and ask

>Also, I've been looking at a P-bass for a while now and before I buy a Fender I might as well go Sandberg again and have an additional bridge PU when I need/want it.

if you're in murrica you might be interested in Schecter's Diamond P Plus. might waste less money on all the import related shit.

it's not nearly on par with sandberg's california series but closer to the electra ballpark.

>Matched headstock just looks better IMO, can't see ehx you wouldn't want it.

it looks better on some finishes if you pick the rosewood or ebony neck but with maple it just clashes IMO

The Rick is a 660/12. Really wonderful guitar.

>>61559967

That's an Eminence, just their regular model not the one with the removable neck. It plays just like a regular 3/4 upright, albeit it's a bit slimmer. The sound unplugged is definitely thinner than a regular upright but with a nice small amp you can get it to sound just like one. I would like a regular upright some day but I just don't play a lot of music on the upright. That and lugging one around is a huge bitch.
>>

Just got an email about this guitar. It's not listed in the new items because it's a single sample they built of the next model they're releasing. "double arch" model, I guess its a 339 as opposed to the agile 335 clones.

throw a dummy coil under the pickguard. make sure it's wound about halfway between both pickups. I imagine the mustang pickups are hum cancelling, so you'd want to change it so they both cancel with the middle pickup. Also I think white pickups are nice on mustangs.

How would you describe the music of Hozier? Just Blues Rock? These simple catchy tunes with a Blues/Jazz feeling.

Any other artists like him you would recommend to me? I've already searched using the sticky but it hasn't helped too much, browsed the Chamber Pop genre, a few others, but nothing yet.

>I'm talking about the songs like Jackie and Wilson, Someone New, From Eden, while they're rather simple they leave a lot of room for improv and solos that Hozier doesn't seem to fill, so I'd like to write my own stuff that has that included
>>
>>61561398
Carvings/etchings done by professional? New Pickups? Trim?

Honestly I want to just take a bite of your guitar it looks like candy or taffy or cotton candy it looks...so...appealing. I like it. Normally I hate guitars that are like that, so simple but the color is just right.

hate to break it to you but you don't really need to spend that much on a practice amp. Did you maybe mean a combo amp, that you're using for more than just practice?
>>
>>61562588

Why is everyone hating on Rondo? It's easily in the Fender MIM tier.

Depending on the head +speakers it should be fine for live. Won't push the same air as a 4x12 though but it'll do fine. Might get a little lost in practices where the amp isn't micced through but just give the mids a little boost + position the cab sideways.

I've got a 2x12 and 4x12, use the 2x12 for recording and the 4x12 for live/band pracs.

So, I've slowly been beginning to prefer solid-state amps. I think that comes mostly from a preference for no reverb and not too much low end. I tend to use low, just barely dirty gain settings, so I don't want the odd harmonics rolled back. I think the more even clipping of a solid state I'd much more true to the guitar. It seems to me like when you use a dirty tone on a tube amp, different guitars sound similar to each other. In other words the amp colors the tone in a good way. But I like the sound of my guitar uncolored.

Not him but posted this a few days ago. Tried ordering a Rondo Les Paul because everyone raves about them. Needed a cheap guitar at the time (this was a couple years ago). Sent back not 1 not 2 but 3 fucking guitars because they were all lemons. I'm sure if you get one that isn't fucked from the factory their good. However their quality control leaves much to be desired. After the third I got a refund and bought a CV Squier strat. Slightly more expensive, zero problems.

Anyone know how to repair a solid state amp?

Long story short, I have an old Crate GLX212.

The clean channel and it's eq are working fine.

The rhythm distortion channel does not work, nor does the eq in it's signal path. But, i can switch from the rhythm distortion to the lead distortion and it works just fine. The lead channel is still unaffected by the eq since it's part of the same signal path as the rhythm.

Any idea wtf is going on? I've taken it apart and nothing looks damaged or worn in any way.

>>
>>61565310

>>
>>61566003
You could try going the absolute control route. I haven't seen anyone combine these mods together, but I think it would be amazing. These mods only apply to if you keep a humbucker in it. For each humbucker, you would add two potentiometers, a 6 lug and a no load blender pot. The 6 lug would be a series/parallel blend, and the blender would be a pickup selector between the two coils of the humbucker. The wiring for the blender is the same as a common jazz bass mod.
>>
>>61566277
So, I confused myself. I believe you can use a normal audio pot for the coil blend control.
>>
>>61566277
>>61566347
Sheeit mane that sounds really awesome. Doubt I would have much use for it though :/
>>
>>61566254
The D13b5b9 chord implies Locrian because that's usually were you find both a b5 and a b9. That being said, the full chord would look somewhat like this:
D F Ab C Eb G Bb

A Bb7/D aka first inversion (not 2nd as I previously misspoke) is D F Ab Bb. That fills in the 1 m3 5 and 13 of the original chord.

It's not perfect, but the way I see it, the simpler the better. Especially if you're playing guitar in a jazz band where you're sight reading chords, you don't have time to think about a complicated chord, you gotta simplify it, fast. The guitar is also limited in notes of a chord we can physically play, on piano it would be much different.
>>
>>61565332

>>61566497

In a genre as low-end heavy as death metal it's useless live mate, it just creates unnecessary resonance on stage. a 4x10 is more than enough and then you just either mic that up or run a DI from the head and that covers MORE than enough of the low-end spectrum.

When he uses it in a softer and more relaxed environment it has a use but definitely not in heavier styles of music.

You can make any floyd playable if you replace the knife edges. Just get some carbon steel and shape it, then harden it. It's a small enough piece that you could do it with a pen torch.

For the record, the original edge is a great trem.
