Then I guess you'd love a lot of PF's other stuff.
Doesn't really fit the thread, but: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbIHltM-m3g

And here's another killer sax solo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJf5ZbumlgY

when i first heard sheep, that first crossfade was heavenly

Trips don't lie.

Mine is more trumpet/sax, I suppose I associated some sadness with the instrument, a guitar or piano solo doesn't interest me that much. (Yet amazing song ! )

>>61459019
Sweet, got anymore but more modern ?

I know this

fade in gunners dream > fade in sheep

Goddamn, the Final Cut is so underrated

here's one contemporary trumpeter who reminds me of Kuroda, Ambrose Akinmusire:

Yeah the execution in TGD is just flawless, but it only happens once, whereas in Sheep it keeps building up over the course of the song before it just explodes at the end.

And yeah OP if you really like sax music, you should check out the rest of The Final Cut.

This is really cool but yet not similar to Kuroda, I can't find someone like him it's a shame

And here's the stray trumpet solo.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pjKTCDZvco

It's disputed as to whether or not it's actually a trumpet and not just a heavily distorted mellotron that's supposed to sound like a trumpet, but whatever it counts.

The mixing of the vocals always bugged me

I thought there was something wrong with my speakers when I first heard it.

And I'm pretty sure it's a trumpet. They already used an orchestra earlier on the album so maybe they borrowed someone for this track too.
>>
>>61459184
That's dutch or german ?

The two other links are cool, you're giving me genre to explore, funk and reggae
>>61459134
btw already did, I don't like it that much, good enough but not my top

Just remember these
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJ3xTjvj9tw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCviLoI5DP8 ( this whole album is sax-free so I advise you to listen to it if you like soul, rnb and sax)
I believe Janelle monae had a song ending with a trumpet but I forgot which one

>The mixing of the vocals always bugged me.
That was a Wright thing. He was apparently very self conscious about his voice so he tried to push the focus of the song away from his vocals in some way whenever he was singing 'lead'. In this case he just made it really quiet.

>And I'm pretty sure it's a trumpet. They already used an orchestra earlier on the album so maybe they borrowed someone for this track too.

It's possible, but they're uncredited, and supposedly Floyd and the orchestra were never actually recording at the same time (they recorded the orchestral parts of AHM without Floyd being present, and the band later recorded their part separately in the studio).

Either way it's nice.
