/mu/, How many Gigabytes of music do you have on your computer?
Ill start, i have 14 Gb of music, mainly 70's and 80's
none
I only listen to music via CDs on my hifi
I have 102 GB, mainly 60s - 10s
about 650 I think
105gb
around 700gb
>>61380373
300, but I've horded a lot recently because of fear of TPP
I deleted all the music on both my hard drives
idk why
I just have the 60gb on my phone now
Just under 200
89.7 GB
>>61380373 (OP)
I got like 80 gigs on here
300gb v0
39.5 GB divided into 3796 songs. This isn't counting the music I still haven't moved from my download folder
37.1, on a 64 gb hard drive. I'm going to transfer most of it to an external HD at some point.
>>61380373
94gb, just cut my library down quite a bit the other day
>>61380491
this what i did
>>61380373
I've got 3 terabytes of 60's pre-ambient
800 gigs of live recordings of this local band called the fuckerfucks. They played only 2 shows before breaking up but I had 11 redundant recording rigs all recording flac which I then layered over one another for 25,000 kbps bitrate.
8 terabytes of the beatles. No not THOSE beatles, the new beatles. They haven't recorded an album yet and technically they're not really a band yet but they're indie-gospel-post-funk-punk style is going to be huge when you guys hear their stuff in about 5 years.
4 petabytes of the Ethiopian Free Jazz wave that occurred in 1973 in a town called Wenji Gefersi.
18 terabytes of sound check recordings from the mid 90's band LFO. They only scored a hit with "I like girls (who wear abercrombie and fitch)" but they were way ahead of their time.
That's just my C: drive. I have 41 drives.

~400GB on my computer
prolly close to a TB if you add up all the external HDs i have lying around
I currently have 850 Gigabytes of music on my desktop computer, and I also have 470 Gigabytes of music on my laptop computer. (Note that these are not the exact numbers, I am rounding these numbers).
That is around a total of 1.32 Terabytes of music. I have many different genres including rock and roll. jazz, classical, and many more. I enjoy listening to music in my free time.
Nearly a TB of mostly V0. All on slsk too btw
I have 111 GB on an external hard drive. It's mainly classical.
220 gigs, around 300 if you add the backlog
Almost 200 gb
203 GB (218 113 835 684 bytes)
>>61380373
>14Gb

21.17

367GB
145GB
353.8GB
95GB, mainly late 60s - 10s. Mainly V0 and 320.
60 gb. Listened to most of it

Dude, IPhones have had 64gb as well as 128gb since the iPhone 6 came out.
310GB
>>61380373
I have around 800-900 GB. Halp me, I'm sick
596 GB but a lot of it is FLAC boxsets
I've got about 500GB on my what.cd folder alone. Take away about 100GB for the My Little Pony episodes and that's still around 400GB. I also have around 100GB more on a different external, and had a lot more (1TB I'd guess) before I accidentally deleted it all.
>>61380373
1,784 GB - spanning all the years
>>61380373
110gb, mostly FLACs
>>61381243
Are you me?
90gb
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you have less than a terabyte of music, why are you even here? You obviously aren't interested in music. Or, if you are, you need to discover more of it before you have any right to speak about it.
Fucking amateurs.
>>61388159
I just listen to music from youtube :/
>>61388159
Not everyone downloads only FLAC. I hope to have a terabyte of music some day though. How long did it take you?
it's about 1.2Tb now.
>all these people with sub-100Gb libraries
baka
>>61388369
I moved over to FLAC 3 years ago.
>>61380373
A terabyte, easily. 100gb is flac, sacd, or msfl gold disk rips of favorites. Everything is 320k, 48hz, mp3gained where possible. Having the 1001 albums you must hear before you die and Pitchfork's best of the 60's, 70's, ...00's take up some space, too.
~ 400 GB of Jazz & 70-90s Rock @ HD1
~ 300something GB of 00s @ HD2
~ 35 GB @ working HD, mostly new stuff, revisions and Phone Music back up
>>61388708
Was it worth it?
Omg just use YouTube. No hard disk space requiref
>>61389176
I think so. When I looked at all the mp3s I downloaded over the years, huge numbers were mutt rips, transcodes, corrupted, or encoded with shitty and outdated encoders. At least lossless downloads generally come with a log.
People say there is no audible difference between mp3 and FLAC. Of course, this is true if you encode the mp3 with LAME from the FLAC. But if you just find an mp3 floating around the internet, it often sounds shit, and you usually have no way of verifying where it came from.
like 21 gbs

Or maybe stuff like this happens
>Go to myspace of some artist.
>There are 4 songs there
>The songs are ultra cool
>decide to download entire discography
>spend time downloading and listening to it
>every single song excluding those 4 sucks

220 gigs
389 gb.
Plus anything I haven't tagged yet
Just over 100, I think, recently deleted a lot of stuff since my Hard Drive is only 250 and I can't afford a decent external atm. Most of it is in 320, I don't really care about FLAC. I really wish I had more space, because I enjoy like 99% of the stuff I have currently and I still have like 200 albums on my to download list atm, and that's only getting bigger.
I've probably deleted hundreds of Gbs over the last few years ;_;
50 gigs, including some backlog that is still zipped, and a lot of mp3 files that don't take much room.
I stream as much as I download anyway, if not more. Fight me.
only 35gb but I've been slowly downloading more shit and streaming less
I have a CD compilation of every good '60s cut and another box set from the '70s
686GB from just about any genre you can mention (no pop)
got some great stuff too

I only think of Algiers when I read this now, any other bands that sorta fit the bill?
I have around 20GB. I don't even have a big library, it's just 3 or 4 discographies in FLAC. I do have around 80GB on a server I share with my dad, but that's assorted FLAC, MP3, WAV, and who knows what the fuck else could be in there, so I have no idea about the number of artists.
