blue or pinkerton?
Blue, though Pinkerton has their best song (Tired of Sex)

That song hits
Blue > Pinkerton
Blue

Blue it is.
Blue is possibly the best pop rock album of that era.
Pinkerton is the only Weezer album I've ever listened to and I thought it was very bad, so Blue.

I actually prefer Blue as well. I like Pinkerton but I feel like Blue plays to their strengths a little better.
Blue by a little bit

Both are perfect. Weezer was among the GOAT rock bands of the 90s. Only Nirvana and Radiohead had also pulled off two consecutive 10/10s.
Shame that the initial reception to Pinkerton ruined Rivers as a songwriter. Still seems like a cool guy, though.

This. Shame how inconspicuous and underlooked they are.

Honestly, Weezer was still making okay music until Make Believe. Plus, Everything Will Be Alright in the End was okay
Blue. Only in Dreams always gets me

Green had like three good tracks, I liked Maladroit a lot even though it's pretty overlooked. Everything else since has had about 1-2 songs worth replaying lodged between a lot of bullshit.
Pinkerton is very overrated. It's a deeply personal record for Cuomo but that doesn't make it better than Blue, an album with some of the tightest pop songwriting ever.

I can see the problems that Green has, but I think that that most of the songs are catchy and short enough for it to be enjoyable as an album that's not supposed to have any substance beyond that.
