Itt: albums /mu/ used to love but now generally hates.
I'll start with the most obvious
>>61360482
>/mu/ hates ITAOTS
I don't believe you
anything by death grips
I honestly remember this being circle jerked to kingdom come in the metal generals when it released.
I still like it.
>>61360482
/mu/ still likes ITAOTS a fair bit. But it seems like Loveless has replaced it to a certain degree.
>>61360482
its my favorite album
people hardcore shit on it for a while but now all the shit posting has more or less slowed down and people have just kind of accepted it as the face of /mu/
>>61361849
Same man, I'm glad it's losing its meme status because fuck having to defend it to kiddies on mu who have no taste
>>61361757
oh man this used to be in the mucore charts
>>61360482
It's never been anything more than a 7/10
>>61361757
This is probably the biggest 180.
Just a couple years ago if you said you didn't like hospice you'd be called a contrarian but now it's almost the other way around
Merriweather Post Pavilion
The Money Store
MBDTF
OK Computer
Pinkerton
I've also started to see some backlash against Loveless and LCD Soundsystem's stuff, but as not as much as the ones I listed above.
>>61360482
Actually this has had a lot more staying power than a lot of albums from that era.
I'm seeing a big dislike towards Lift Your Skinny Fists for some reason.
In /mu/core rate threads, I usually see people giving it a lower rating while in '10 (when I first started browsing) people were cumming over the mere mention of the album
I'm just going to go ahead and say that /mu/'s browsers today unironically think all /mu/core is shit
>>61362039
nah not all of it, there are just a lot of posters that listen to hip-hop and these posters might think /mu/core is shit.
BUt yeah that album really fell off, mostly because of the crescendocore meme. It is true that all the songs sound similar but it's still a good album. Can be a chore to listen to in parts though

But Hospice is a great album. I don't understand.
Demon Days used to be mucore, but Gorillaz is now considered "le reddit hip hop cartoonz".
