Exactly when did you realise that Scaruffi was a senile hack who's opinions aren't worthy of a small grain of bath-salt.
Pic related for me.
Those ratings are about right though. Melvins are hugely overrated.
>>61338605
He gave one of their albums 7.5. That's a fucking huge recommendation coming from him. Chill
>>61338605
This is one of the few times I agree with Scaruffi. Melvins are 5-6/10 across the board. I don't want to leave if someone plays it and I've been to one of their shows and it's just entirely average.
>>61338711
Damn that's the first time his ratings match mine exactly
can't rufie the scrufi
scaruffi still hasn't reviewed To Pimp A Butterfly because he's scared
>>61338605
>those ratings crawling down as the years go by
You can watch his descent into being an insufferable cunt.
Hostile ambient takeover is underrated in general, either it or Pigs of the Roman Empire is the best 2000s melvins album
seems fine to me. a lot of the Melvins' shit is, well, shit
What's the point of a 10 point scale if nothing will ever reach it?
Has he ever even given anything a 9?
What is the fucking point?
>giving Vespertine a 6/10
>>61338767
wat is pont of 10 pont scal if 10 is ez to get?
go back to videogames 7 out 10 is shit m8
who is this memelord anyway and why o you idiots care about him so much
>>61338803
>giving Volta a 5/10
>>61338767
He gives out heaps of high scores, they're just more left field choices than most publications.
http://www.scaruffi.com/ratings/90.html
That's the high scoring list for the 90s alone.
>>61338767
A 9 is not something that can be attained, but rather something that should be strived towards
:^)
>>61338809
Is that you Cal?
>>61338839
you shut the goddamn up about scuffi i love him
>>61338767
No 10s but there are 9's and 9.5's. Really it doesn't change much if all those were instead 9.5's and 10's, except 10 conveys perfection and for him there is no perfect album.
>>61338809
pitchfork has given 10s. very few, but they have.
i'm pretty sure scruffy never has
he'll say "this album is great, it's amazing, it's genre defining, you should definitely listen to it. 7.5"
>>61338879
i am perfect
>>61338767
Every album on here is a 9+
The first three are 9.5/10
>>61338884
>very few
>>61338886
I don't believe you and I bet you I can find a way to disprove that.
>>61338886
and what album are you?
>>61338605
>he hasn't reviewed the best Melvins release
According to him Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence is better than Bjork's Vespertine.
>>61338979
i mean they give 10s to classic reissues on principle
there's only a handful of albums to get a 10 on release
:|
>>61338605
scaruffi is god
you are pleb
accept it and try to strive towards patricianhood
WHERE'S TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY
YOU FUCKING OLD KEK
>>61339179
Everything except RDJ album and Drukqs are pretty much right though.
>>61338870
srsly what is his appeal
>>61339265
So Syro and ICBYD are his best albums?
... Syro?
>>61338605
>he doesn't like what I like, therefore he is a bad reviewer!
Grow up. You're just making your fav artists' fanbase sound insecure.
>>61338605
he hasn't rated many of the bands i like to listen to.
also, i've never heard of him
>>61339320
who is so insecure to care what a critic thinks, or what a fanbase is like? just consume the media you enjoy
>>61339303
No, Druqks and RDJ album are
Syro is fucking great though
>>61338886
>>61338983
okay here I go
What do we know about what is perfect? By definition of what is perfect, nothing is better than what is perfect.
When you say _ I am perfect _, this can mean one of two things. 1.) Either you were perfect from birth and stayed perfect up until this moment. Or 2.) You are perfect in this moment, and either at some point were not or will not be in the future.
Supposing you were perfect since birth. You have changed since you were born. If you have changed, and somehow remained perfect all this time, then at each point in your life you have been no better and no worse than you were before.
Is it possible for some thing to change without becoming better or worse? Yes obviously, that's exactly what the perfect being is. But that tells us nothing so must think more.
>>61339521
what definition of "perfect" are you using?
how did you arrive at this definition?
>>61339624
The definition given is that, there's nothing better than what's perfect, so what's perfect is whatever can't be bettered.
But now I'm getting stuck so maybe I will give up.
>>61338605
>listen to an album
>like it
>check Scaruffi
>he likes it too
Everytime mates
>>61338605
>4 7+ scores for a RAWK BAND
You're right, his taste is shit.
>Back in Black
>Appetite for Destruction
>heavy metal
>>61339785
>RAWK BAND
?
>>61338963
I'll never understand why he loves Repeater so much when it's one of the weakest Fugazi albums
>>61339899
>one of the weakest Fugazi albums
really? I've only heard that one and 13 Songs.
>>61339303
yes?
>>61338605
Here's my unusual opinion, Scaruffi's articles about politics are much more interesting and entertaining than his writings on music.
>>61338605
>Ozma best Melvins album
haha
scaruffi gave korn a 7.5 lol
The Force Awakens, which he gave a 4.0 to, is one of his worst films of the year. But he also gave 3.5 to Star Trek: Into the Darkness and at least a 6.0 to two of the Star Wars prequels, so I'm guessing he must really hate J. J. Abrams
>>61340710
But that's correct though
>>61340747
he doesn't even watch the films he rates, only his rock reviews are worth anything
>>61339521
i'm going to be perfect from now on
