The Predatory Wasp of The Palisades
This has been one of my favorite songs of all times. It's beautiful and moves me emotionally.

After listening to it closely, I feel: (continued in first reply)
meme

That it's about a gay experience. That lessens the song in my mind for some reason. I try not to consider myself a homophobe, but maybe I am? If the song is truely about a gay experience, I can't relate to it anymore, and it doesn't have as big as an impact on me. But I would never treat a gay person badly.
What am I thinking here? I am mixed up and I don't know what to do. I think this song is lesser because it's about something gay and I'm not. What?
I just don't like this song. Its kinda fucking annoying and repetitive and predicatble. When the polyrhythmic shit comes in near the end, I think "where was this was the rest of the song?"
The most interesting thing about it is the lyrical content, which could have resonated more in a much better dong.

Oh.. how I meant to tease him,
how I meant no harm
Touching his back with my hand I kiss him
I see the wasp on the length of my arm

Kuzication? good job. but just know that i fell in love with this song before 2010.
>>61314634
you are homophobic
>>61314736
in college, I had someone that I thought was a friend confess that he was gay and that he had a crush on me. This made me really... upset. Could this have made me homophobic?
anyway can we just talk about this song, what the wasp represents, why he is kissing his best friend, etc, instead of me?

There is something wrong with you. You have a problem with empathy.
i fucking love the live version of this song circa 2007 or something when it lasts like 9 minutes with kinda messy psychedelic ending like here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p069Ddy-9yo

Yep, it's my fav Sufjan track. Probably in my top 5 tracks of all time.
>>61316782
ambiguously gay because he is super secretive abt his personal life and because of all these references in his songs. but i really hope he is bi.
