Which do you prefer: East Coast Jazz Rap or West Coast G-Funk?
Both have their very good and very bad counterparts. But personally, I prefer East Coast (not just jazz rap).

20 years ago: West Coast
Currently: East Coast
Back then in the East coast there was Jay-Z in his prime, Tribe, Gang Starr, Mos Def, and Wu-Tang, but I personally like the sounds that Dre and all the other rappers on the West Coast were doing at the time better.
Now there's Flatbush Zombies, Ratking, Joey Badass, Action Bronson, and The Underachievers. As well as Definitive Jux which even though started in the 90's got progressively better.
