But we have a lot more shit recorded. There are like what, 10, well known artists from before 1800, because we pretty much only had sheet music to go on. Nowadays since everything is recorded, it's just not possible for all or even most of the good artists to be remembered in 100 years due to the competition. Lets face it unless there Radiohead or Nirvana or some shit your favourite band probably is not gonna be well known in 200 years time.
