Get a Macbook Pro with an external DAC and optional headphone amp. For my mobile setup,my USB DAC is the NuForce uDAC 3. For my home setup, I use the Schiit Magni 2 + Modi 2

It literally doesnt matter. They used to record classic albums with none of the technology of today on tape. TAPE. no laptops, no audio interfaces. No pro tools. Just get a laptop that doesnt suck.

Depends on what you want to use. Logic works on Mac only, while FL Studio and ProTools are only on Mac, and Ableton works on both. Max MSP is barely functional on Windows. I switched from Mac to PC because I had an old shitty Mac that I hated, and now I'm basically up shit creek because all the electronic music courses at my uni are taught using Logic and Max.

So you're not going to like this but unless you want to use ProTools or FL Studio specifically, get a Mac, for Christ's sake.
