I'm still waiting for a CD copy of Heaven's Persona by Shizuka and a cassette+shirt bundle of Hackers All of them Hackers by Dreamcrusher but here's what I copped.

The plain black album is a bootleg copy of 77 Live by Les Rallizes Denudes

I have the rhythm wolf

it sounds like absolute shit unless you get some distortion/saturation fx, and even then, its barely passable

the bass synth is alright if you don't use it as your main synth, the kickdrum is useless, the snare/hihat is passable

I don't know, I like it. It certainly sounds more than a little like shit, but because I'm retarded it's very pleasing to me. It's certainly not for everything, or even a lot of things.
Waiting for them to get clearanced down to fity dollars so I can buy them up.

Audiotecnica Lp-120 if you also want a turn table, audiotecnica lp-60, cheaper version of above but does not function as turntable. I've been pretty happy with it.

literally everyone has this player but it's the best for the price and won't damage your records like all the shitty players people usually get as entry level ones

the microbrute is fucking excellent too to be honest, and it has a modular interface too which is brilliant
>>
>>61259230
turn table has a free arm, like you see with Djs in live sets when they move the arm so that the record plays at the specific spot.
Record player just plays from start to beginning on the track.
About $100 difference in price IIRC
>>
>>61259166

for acid/"light" sounds, yes, its an alright piece

for "bangin"/dark techno stuff, not a chance

I don't hate it, I have mine here and I won't be selling it anytime soon. It's just to make you aware of the limitations. For what it is, its a fun piece of gear, not meant to be taken seriously.
>>
>>61259275

well if you don't have any records maybe just get a bunch of cheapos to go with your LP60 and save some cash; but then you'll probably get bored of vinyl in a while, and you'd be kind of missing the point imo. people who do that just feed the hipster fad and inflate the price of records

I do a mix of analog/digital. Most sounds on hardware, FX/reverbs/EQing through Ableton (sometimes I just use my A4 FXs if its a simple track)

I wouldn't recommend fully analog unless you have the cash to spare and you like the workflow that much.

I can play some blues, most is just generic, major rock. I'd like to spend under 150, want to save most of my cash. I like a lot of psych like TVU and folkier stuff like Van Morrison (but I already have an acoustic). Open to any ideas, I just started learning the guitar this year, but it's not my first instrument.

If you don't have one already, get a tuner. Clip-tuner or pedal tuners are usually both fine. If you already have one, get a reverb. Just go down to your guitarcenter and try different ones within your budget, then pick whichever sounds best TO YOU. Once you start getting more comfortable with your playing you could get a wah-pedal. It's really useful for both psych and blues.

I already have like 3 tuners, a few apps and one on my 4 track. I wasn't sure if they would let you try out pedals, so it's nice to know I can. I've been definitely looking for a reverb since my amp doesn't have a setting for it.

well 500 dollars is kind of low but if you want a beautiful clean machine I would save up about 700 for a silverfaced twin reverb. do not get the 135 watt one. great amp and it can be modified to the 60s circuit for more detail. it is pretty heavy though, be warned.

i play a silverface that was modified to the 60s circuit ('blackfaced' if you will) and I have never heard a more beautiful clean tone.

>>
>>61270187
Boards of Canada?
>>
>>61270760
well here it gets a little tricky.

with a twin you can do this:
and mind you this is an imperfect solution but I am not sure your motivation for needing one as this is a very clean amp that does effects beautifully without a loop.
the amp has two channels with two inputs each. say you played into the vibrato/reverb side into input one. you could run your pedals from the second input to the normal channel, a problem with this is that because of the reverb stage the two channels are out of phase so if you are going in with a dry signal into both of them you will get phase cancellation.

other than that I might recommend looking into more modern amps. there is something called an 'evil twin' which is made later and it has an effects loops and i understand they sound pretty good.
>>
>>61270947
>>61270760
actually don't look for 'evil twin' but rather 'red knob twin' i made an error in my haste to respond.

holy shit both of those twin amps sound amazing in the videos I watched. Thanks again for the advice it's really helping a lot. However, I'm torn between having really good clean or really good effects loop, like for what sound I want. But, I was thinking of maybe going for a less clean amp and better effects loop so I can play normal music and jam but also push it to it's limit and play harsh noise. Any idea on stuff for that? Also two other ones I was recommended were Blues Jr. and VOX AC15C1, and knowledge about those? Thanks again man.

i cannot recommend the blues jr or the amps similar to that by fender (hot rod etc) if you want good cleans and a good clean platform for effects. they seem more suited to a dirtier sound as they do not clean up pleasantly and indeed their overdriven tone i find unpleasant. knowing what i do of vox amps, my intuition is that a 15 watter vox may also be a little to easy to break up for you, but i could be wrong i am mostly familiar with the ac30 which is an excellent amp. if you want smaller, perhaps look into a fender princeton reissue. i am not sure if it has a loop but it sounds good and full for a little 15 watter and overdrives rather pleasantly.
