I'm relatively new to /mu/ and I've just finished listening to Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven. I enjoyed it and wanted to know what you guys thought of it.
It's a good album.

F A ∞ is much better to be honest, but yeah LYSFLATH is pretty good also.
really really good album. (dunno why everybody thinks Static is amazing though, the beginning is great but i was left bored to death by the end :/)

For some reason Slow Riot's always been my favourite.
Almost perfect imo

F#A# does beat lift yr skinny fists by a mile. Probably the best post rock album there is & OP should definitely check it out

My problem with F#A#∞ is that they lack the good buildup and baroque feel of the crescendo, with several guitars, drums and other instruments playing at the same time, complementing each others. F#A#∞ Has the atmosphere, but LYSF, has more instumental perfection. (see 18+ minutes into sleep, 10-17 minutes into storm and 9 minutes into Like antennas to heaven) It's something about being able to make instuments play the same melody with a indivitual detailed progression and variation which makes LYSF better than F#A#∞ for me at least.

it's pleb shit for people who can't into classical, and even for rock music it's nothing amazing, it's hardly interesting, I'll take literally any first wave post-rock album over this one
