Overrated, but due to his image people also tend to overlook his musical output. Exodus is an amazing album

Fantastic album
I don't think he's overrated, he just has an annoying fanbase. His musicianship is nothing special, his lyrics are good. Reggae in general is kind of a shit genre.

Kaya is a great album too. It's a shame that most people only know Bob Marley because of DUDE WEED and a string of big radio hits. His image is possibly the most commercialised of all musicians ever, but besides that he made some good music.
If you haven't seen the Marley documentary, please save your opinion. Bob was an exceptional being, as well as a decent musician.
