That's why OP said jazz "releases" not recordings. ECM always releases their albums at least a year after they are recorded.

All really meaningful albums with very emotional and original compositions.

Birchall is cool. As a Pharoah Sanders fan it's nice to hear someone still making music like that.
Surprised that the L'Ebin crowd hasn't really shown any interest in other contermporary spiritual jazz like Birchall or pic related.

Plini is great but it's not jazz
Chris Lightcap's was my favorite of the few I've heard. Also one of the few modern jazz albums I've seen with decent album art
