rock music is probably the easiest form of music to judge and i say this as a fan of rock music. it requires no credible background or serious vested interest. it's a pop music which practically reviews itself considering that in rock music there is such little disconnect between the artist, the audience, and the intent of the music. obviously there are exceptions but considering that those exceptions all entail significant influences from non-rock musics i'd say they prove the rule pretty well.
