This. As pleb as it sounds, Rock N' Roll (Will Take You To The Mountain) is perhaps one of my favorite electronic songs. The amount of shit that is thrown at you in that song and still doesnt sound like a convoluted mess, the production, which has this sort of dry almost lo-fi quality to it. The basic sawtooth synthwork which is put to the limits of it's use.
Skrillex has never managed to make anything like it again and probably never will since I suspect most of it happened by accident.

Maybe the planets will align again
all of their stuff, really, since now it's cool to hate DG
>>61211394
Nope, never will, Skrillex is to busy trying to become the next Max Martin.
actually love this album. makes me nostalgic
System of a downs whole discography, also some of the songs off of Doggystyle

People who hate on DG on here are either just memeing or they must be plebs
>>61211676
Is he? I haven't been paying attention
>>61212048
He produced half of biebers newest album. if he did that just for quick cash or if that the path he wants to go, I dont know. What I do know is that I dont care for anything he's done with Diplo. I dont like that guy, he strikes me as a person who will jump on any popular artist to collab (leech) and ditch them the second their popularity fades.

To U was okay in the dumb fun party way, but I agree, he either plays it boringly safe or makes uninteresting experiments like on Recess.
>>61212326
This might be just me, but to me it sounds like most of his inspiration these days comes from hip hop, rather than the metal influence he had in his early days.
I might have a heavy bias as I have been following him since he dropped the scary monsters ep in late 2010, he might be just as good for anyone just discovering him. This might be just a classic example of old fans vs new fans.
But one thing I can pinpoint is that his music has become less energetic, and that was where I got the majority of fun out of it.
This album will never cease to be a favorite of mine.
No matter how much my taste evolves.

This is an excellent album and This River Is Wild is one of the best songs of its decade.
>>61212571
No one should have shame for this
It's genuinely a great album, no matter how much people meme over pop punk.
>>61212571
I enjoyed that also, and this.

Easy Way Out is one of my favorite songs of all time.
>>61212483
I agree on the less energetic, hip-hop influence on Jack U, but Recess had some high-energy bangers like Ragga Bomb.

Idk, it's just that the one time I brought this album up on /mu/ I got fucking laughed at and was told to delete the thread. So now I just keep Arctic Monkeys on the down low.

Literally no bad songs on this, I love it.
