I'll start
first album that i loved every song on. i mean they might not all be exactly 10/10 songs. but its 10/10 songs that i like on it . so in a way...
40/40

How the hell does he manage to look like a porn-star on every single one of his early albums?
Everyone is wrong so far
>>61197879
including you
>>61197926
Please
>>61197926
correct answer would be Aenima tho
>>61197951
Correct answer would not be a tool album
but if it had to be one, it'd be ten thousand days
>>61196281
>>61197951
Aenima is really fucking good but it has those tracks like message to harry manback and cesaro summability that you just skip every time it comes on.
>>61197972
10000 Days is a close second. I would have no problem if someone were to put it above Lateralus. Lateralus is just my personal preference.
>>61197941
your welcome
>>61198031
..Message to Harry Manback is probably their best song tho
but maybe you'd have to understand the lyrics to fully appreciate it
luckily I'm Italian
>>61198042
>>61198031
oh wait, most of the lyrics are in english
whatever
>>61198059
yeah but im pretty sure its not even a song. its just a recording left on an answering machine if im not mistaken. funny and im glad they put it on there but it would have been so much better if they replaced it with an actual song or did a sort of transition into an actual song like intermission or lost keys on 10000 days.
>>61198104
how is it not a song?
also it's not exactly a masterpiece but none of tool's songs really are
>>61198001
WHO YA GONNA CAAAAALL
>>61197979
not quite senpai
this is literally 10/10 every song. the only debatable one would be setting me up. the rest are genuine 10/10
>>61198031
WOMAN YOU KBOW YOU'RE WOMAN YOU GOT TO BE A WOMAN I GOT THE FEELING OF LOVE
>>61198031
Message to Harry Manback & Cesaro Summability are both great mood setters and intro tracks, which is a known trait in Tool's albums. Also Message to is fucking hilarious.
On a side note, Intermission is the greatest introduction piece ever
>>61198129
>none of tools songs are masterpieces
masterpieces are their fucking specialty anon.
>>61198181
Yeah i can see what you mean. I just prefer Lateralus's mood setting tracks like mantra and eon blue apocalypse.
>rumors.jpeg
super obvious but needs to be said
>>61198193
what do you mean
>>61197892
woah, paradox
>>61198288
when i think of masterpiece i think of a quality work of art that takes it's time and builds up to an ultimate moment. You know that the artist took the time to work on it and make it an experience.
Some examples by Tool would be.
Third Eye
intermission/jimmy
aenima
46 and 2
wings for marie part 1 and 2
lost keys/rosetta stoned
parabol/parabola
lateralus
the patient
the grudge
triad
vicarious
right in two.
>>61198361
well we have different definitions of 'masterpiece'.
but i agree with you on yours, they're all good songs, most of my favourite songs by them are in your list actually, H. is probably the only one missing
>>61196281
I had a relative give me a box of old vinyl and this album was in there with some throwaways, it was pretty good m8.
>>61198262
Lateralus is great, but the last 15 minutes after the title track are so much weaker than the first part of the album, which is why I rank Aenima higher personally.
>>61198396
H. is a really underrated song, and definitely one the Tool's best.
>I have died
>and will die
>it's alright
>i don't mind, i don't mind
>I DON'T MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIND
>>61198479
my negro
also 10\10 riff and 10\10 finger warmer as a guitarist
>>61198491
It's also definitely on the top of the most fun tracks to play by them. Rosetta stoned, 46 & 2, Prison Sex and Vicarious are also a lot of fun
>>61197907
hi scaruffi
>>61198508
ahah what are you implying, i'm obviously not piero scaruffi. like, totally another person.
i swear.
>>61198502
i'll definitely learn those, never really played tool songs other than H. (and parts of vicarious, which is figuratively the same song) but i'm feeling like it now
>>61198535
try Prison Sex then. Grooving with Drop-B is great
>>61198551
will do ! holy shit drop B, i'm kinda used to their songs being in drop D, but that's another level
