Eventually theres going to be a cringe as fuck "Teens react to Death Grips" episode, and that makes me sad.

>>
90's kids weren't born in the 90's either
>>
You weren't a 90s kid if you were born in the 90s either. You were just gestating out of the womb because otherwise you would have killed your mother when you were born with your enormous fucking cranium, which isn't a nice thing to do.

I was born in 93. I wasn't conscious on any level until September 11, 2001.
>>
>>61177918
We tried already
Normies don't like Death Grips, no matter what /mu/ tells you (not yet anyway)

oh my golly
>>
>>61178242
Srsly? You don't remember new years '99? You don't remember Bush getting elected, and all the shit going down in FL? You don't remember snow days in the late 90s, and getting N64 games for xmas?
>>
>>61177918
Ugh so cringey. Oh god the cringe.
>>
>>61177908
this mentality is the cause of all the nirvana threads happening lately
>>
>>61178242
That's fully wrong m8. I'm from '94 and remember playing around in kindergarten and watching cartoons - granted, these were late 90's, but still.
>>
>>61178264
The point is they don't
>>
>>61178242
Kek. Where you retarded? I think you mean aware of your environment. But still you watched the cartoons, ate the food and wore the clothes.
>>
>>61178242
I doubt that. I have vivid memories of kindergarten which was definitely in the 90's for me.
Interestingly enough, even though I'm not even American, I remember 9/11 and it's the earliest memory I have that I can accurately associate a date with.
>>
If you were born after 1990 then you're not a 90's kid. Seriously if you didn't turn 10 until 2001 then you're in the same sub-generation as someone who turned 10 in 2008.

You're both 00's kids.

That kid there is apparently a 10's kid.
>>
I was born in 1987 so I guess that makes me an 80's kid lol.

Who wants to read about Caleico Vision and what it was like when the Empire Strikes Back first came out? Because I was born in 1987 so by OP's logic I'm qualified to discuss it.

I was born in 94, and I vividly remember even before kindergarten. Remember alot of childhood, vidya, snacks, toys, shows. You might just be retarded, even people older can remember their childhood.

born in the 92s... i remmember watching SuperPowerful Girls or something and suddenly they cut off the trasnmittion.
I hate the 9/11 thing for that. LOL.

Omg, thats what im saying all the time, but no one understands me.

Why the fuck do people care so much what decade or generation they belong to?
>>
>>61180801
because people like to group together and feel superior to others
>>
>>61180801

Every generation hates the next one and puts all the previous ones on a pedestal.

If I had a nickel for every fucking time I heard somebody tell me Nirvana was "the last great rock band"...ugh.

>>
>>61181514
Not him, but they really were. Not because they were good (I do not care for Nirvana at all) but because they were probably the last band everybody and their mother cared about at their peak.

And that's a good thing. We don't have to worry about everybody hyping over some dumb band (i.e., Beatles, Beach Boys, Nirvana, Metallica) ever again.

>>
>>61178242
I was born in 93 and I remember back to preschool. Hell we entered Elementary school around 2000...

I consider my memory not the best, but I have vivid memories from at least the last 4 years of the nineties. You don't have any memory of the fashion, cartoons, school, family moments from that time period? Of course we blossomed post 2000, but about half of our childhood was in the 90's (assuming 12 you become roughly an pre-adolescent/teen).

Some iconic things from that era were actually very unique to our demographic... like the development of the gameboy, super nintendo, pokemon.... etc. It was a peak time for some childhood age-groups. Similiar to the flux of insane movies the children from the 1980's saw.

We didn't influence the 90's but we had our part.

a manbaby regardless of the decade
>>
>>61181939
No it was super nintendo, I played mortal combat and super mario 3 on it with my brother. We even took it on a roadtrip and played it in the car. Also we had a game called lawnmower man. I remember my brother had the original chunky as fuck gameboy, and I got the game boy pocket... eventually gameboy color came out and I kept that until the advance. Also had a nintendo 64, played starfox, mario64, donkey kong racing....

We grew up when all of those had just come out or were being released.
>>
>>61181939
Also if you don't remember half your childhood than you may have a brain tumor or possibly you were abused.

So you have a perfectly lucid memory from the time you were born to the age of 5? That's very impressive anon
>>
>>61183265
>So you have a perfectly lucid memory from the time you were born to the age of 5?

...Yeah man, that's how memory works. I remember all major events in my life and the world that occurred from a little before '96 and onward.
>>
>>61183265
I also have tons of random little memories from that period.
>>
>>61183265
Wait I misread what you said because it doesn't correspond with what I told you. Being born at the end of '91 makes me a 90's kid. I was 8 years old before the 90's ended.
>>
>>61183196
im not that guy but i have little to no memory of my childhood (aside from a few dumb things like piercing myself and other shit like that, that sticks in your mind forever) i always thought it was normal to not remember most stuff, and that nobody remembers being a kid either...
>>
>>61180801
Well honestly teenagers are insanely pussified, you're all awkard as fuck and masculinity is frowned upon and I don't want to be associated with you to be honest.
>>
>>61183133
oh gee, then I must have just imagined all the memories I have of the 90s.

kindergarden
Starting in school in 96
that christmas in 97 when I got a N64
fucking backstreet boys, fucking ace of base, fucking kosovo getting bombed to shits
hey, 10 years of my life I must have just imagined
>>
>>61183380
Most people start having retrievable long term memory around 4 years old and some even have memories from before.
>>
>>61183352
Meaning the bulk of your childhood memories are from, what, a couple of years in the late 90s?

Do you really remember the height of MTV, the rise of Grunge, the early rotation of hair metal bands, the advent of groups like Public Enemy?

Get the fuck out of here, filthy millenial shitbag.
>>
>>61183385
>masculinity is frowned upon
you say that like its a bad thing. assuming you mean traditional masculinity, it is bad and should be frowned upon
>>
Replace "90s kid" with "true scotsman" and this thread gets pretty entertaining.
>>
>>61183422
>4 or 5 years is a couple years

I spent almost my entire kid life in the 90's.
>>
>>61183463
Thanks for proving my point that you're pussified and have rejected manhood.
>>
>>61183477
>he never experienced the joy of watching new episodes of the X-Men cartoon on FOX Sunday mornings
>he never watched Star Trek: the Next Generation as it aired weekly
>never watched prime Beavis and Butthead
Keep telling yourself you were a '90s kid', namefag.
>>
>>61183380
I cant place dates accurately or remember things word for word, but I have a pretty good memory of that time when it comes to, place, who I was with, what time of year it was and what happened and the chronology of the events in that particular memory.

But of course, this is 20 years back so everyday life is fuzzy, but I remember every significent event pretty clearly.
>>
>>61183500
the real pussies are the men who feel the need to constantly act 'macho' to validate their masculinity
>>
>>61183613
You're so removed from the concept that you don't even understand that real men aren't "acting macho" they are macho. You just think they're acting because you project your own mental weakness on them. I was a pussy once too man.
>>
>>61183679
Being macho is a social construct.
>>
>>61183710
Gender roles are present even in hunter-gatherer societies and men's roles have always required aggression, assertiveness as well as greater mental and physical toughness. It is a result of testosterone, male psychology and our sexual dimorphism.
>>
>>61178264
this is bullshit. As long as you start with "No Love," you can pretty much get anyone to like them.
>>
>>61183679
i mean acting macho in the treating women like shit and belittling men who dont conform to traditional masculinity way, not in the being physically and mentally strong way
>>
>>61177918
We should try again to make this happen
>>
>>61178264
