Never heard anything like it

It's impressive how easily he adapts to the new sounds on the album. If this were your first Stevens album you'd be justified in expecting this to always be his sound. It's already mastered.

But the writing, while not bad, is weak far too often. Sometimes I get the impression he knew his melodies were going through a funky period. I wouldn't be surprised if the genre experimentation was a direct result of him trying to salvage a subpar less electric album.

I knew every sound and lyric out of my head because i listened to it so much, and suddenly i stopped listening and never fully came back to it.
One of my favorite albums of all time. Only i don't listen to it.

it's fantastic, but the first half lags compared to the last 4 tracks which are actually phenomenal
