I don't know where the fuck you live, but here in Finland I'd dare to say that 90% teenagers only listen to pop, rap and some sort of electronic music. It sounds pretty absurd when someone says that teenagers love metal more than anything else. Besides, if you go to a metal show here, the average age is often closer to 30 than 20, at least based on my experiences. We have a lot of 30+ year old dudebro metalheads here who go to all possible metal concerts, and I feel like they're the majority.
What's your favorite non-metal band?
Mine's Rush. I prefer their 70s stuff over pretty much all of the progressive metal genre tbqh.
