sort of in the vein of Joanna newsom, but a bit more stripped down

Check out the compilation Yellow Magic Kyouko. It's a 3CD comp of 70s and 80s stuff the YMO guys produced/arranged. Fantastic stuff.

I was actually halfway through the album when my only pair of headphones broke and I haven't had the chance to get a new pair so I haven't listened to it all. I enjoyed the first half tough.
