What album have you listened to the most?
>>61137250
probably this one. Just meant a lot to me
Not too sure why it's not more well-known. It's so well written
Probably this one. It got me into punk, but ITAOTS is up there too.
>>61137250
short songs plus it being my favorite, i've listened to it hundreds of times by now
Danny Brown - XXX
I've listened to this so many times and I still can't get enough.
This.
The songs are pretty catchy and warm on the first listen, but then the autism kicks in and you find yourself enjoying the most insignificant changes underneath the main melody, the samples and even the ambient drones.
got me through 20-25 period. i still find it almost perfect
>>61138247
The songs on this go by like crazy
This guy who goes to my uni made a tape this past year and it's been my go-to for the past couple of weeks
>>61138350
well, it's grindcore, it's usual in the genre
>>61137250
according to last.fm.
I just love this album. It's like a shot of life, and every one of the songs stands on its own, to the point where when a song from this comes up on shuffle, I'm often not sure what song it is until the vocals come in. Quarantined and cosmonaut are a good example of this.
Too bad I can't get into the other At the Drive-In Albums as much.
For most of my favourite albums, I usually can't give a lot of listens, but there's something about this album, I never get bored of it. 23 listens so far.
>>61138379
I wouldn't know, this is the only grindcore I've ever heard. Really good though
since I was a mall goth teen
>>61138395
>this whole post
I hope this is bait.

Just because you don't like something doesn't mean someone else can't.
By fucking far. Dunno why.
>>61138416
yeah, it's hailed the best in the genre by tons of fans
>>61138481
It was just relased one month ago and it is the album you have listened to the most?
>>61138471
I'm used to the structure of the album and how they flow into each other so much that it's a bit odd when I don't hear them that way.
>>61138496
I'm not the guy who listened to Art Angels the most.
>>61137250
You posted it. Certified milkhead.
>>61138456
Nope, been actively listening to music since about 2012. I usually never stick to a single album for too long. I listen to maybe 3 or 4 new albums each week, but unless I really like it, I won't give it too many repeated listens. So this is kind of an isolated event, my other favourite albums I would guess I've heard maybe ~15 times each.
probably this one, it's being years though
i'm going to give it a nostalgia listen now, thanks OP
>>61138320
ALTHOUGH NOT A FOLLOWER OF HSEROK DIVAD SHES A DEVOTED BRANCH DAVIDIAN
>>61138615
i've been listening nvermind since i was 13, damn, nostalgia hit hard now
Probably over a 100 times at this stage, it never gets old because I can always relate to it
The feels never leave me but everything seems to :(

I wish I could listen to those two albums for the first time again.
I listen to loveless every night when I'm drifting off into sleep. It's a pretty cool experience.
probably this
>>61139625
That's my favourite album but Ege Bamyasi is the one I can always return to whatever mood I'm in. Tago Mago is more of an experience you have to set time aside for to get fully immersed in.
this album cover is imprinted into my soul.
>>61137250
It's a shame how seldom this album is talked about.
last.fm says pic related
but in my whole life, it's probably Fall Out Boy's Believers Never Die. my early high school years were nothing but that album.
I don't consider it my favorite but it was the first time I had heard something on the brink of avant-garde and catchy. I played the hell out of it and loved every moment, especially the CD bonus tracks on the reissue but I'm not sure when those were written.
I'm not entirely certain if it's this or Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here
>>61137250
Ulver - Kveldssanger
Easily over 300 times straight through uninterrupted. I listened to only it for two straight weeks for the first time I heard it, and then I had this job working in a gift shop where I did literally nothing for 8 hours straight because it was so slow, and I used to listen to it every day there. It's been my favorite album for a long time.
>>61139899
I can't get into it, even though White Lighter is top 10 for me.
>>61137250
throughout my entire life probably this
Souvlaki since I started using lastfm
One of things that new last.fm does right is most listened albums list.
Yeah there's some "pleb" albums on this, but I'm not ashamed, that's what I used to listen and I'm okay with it.
I've been listening to this for years and it still continues to get better.
Kid A. I haven't listened to Radiohead in a long time though.
listened to this a lot as a teen
Lately I've been listening to XXX nonstop, but I've probably listened to Surfer Rosa or Songs About Fucking the most.
It's one of the most replayable albums ever
>>61141465
I fucking love old Modest Mouse.
WE DON'T CARE DON'T CARE
This, Clouds Taste Metallic, This Is a Long Drive and Elliott Smith's Grand Mal.
>>61140617
My brethren of african descent
Yeezus tbqhf. When it leaked, I listened to it on repeat for around 25 days nonstop. I still don't know what Justin Vernon is saying in I'm In It, in all honesty.

Probably this but I'm not sure.
According to last.fm, I've listened to this 109 times.
This doesn't include listens on my phone, Ipod, or listening to the record
>>61138318
Am I the only one who hates welcome to the machine? Everything else on the album is fucking amazing though.
>>61137250
>Tfw I've tried multiple times to sit through this album and couldn't.
Probably this one. Really dig AJJ.
By far. I'll occasionally stop listening to and forget how great it was, then come back and it's better than ever

>>61142327

This masterpiece
According to last.fm this, but I'm not sure
This is such a great album
>>61140692
Literally their worst.
I have listened through this album a few hundred times. The album I have the next most listen through is a band that pretty much copied them.
>>61143820
Anon...
I have a really difficult time seeing the appeal of this album. I've tried time and time again but it just seems so, I don't know, bland and with nothing that really stands out.
I really want to like it man, but what's so special about it?
>>61139764
This you?
Probably this. Maybe Can's Future Days.
>>61143990
Man... where do I start...
The selling point for me is how the songs manage to convey a very certain emotion that I happen to love. It's a difficult emotion to describe but i would describe it as intense nostalgia. You may not feel that same emotion conveyed to you but for me this album comes closest to capturing that.
Also, the songs are pushed to the max, in performance, in structure, in build ups etc. and as an album its deeply satisfying to listen to. After the strings fade out at the end of the title track I just feel that the record put me on an epic apocalyptic adventure.
I can see how the album may sound bland in the beggining but all the details make the album come alive for me. The cheering crowd in Baudelaire, the static in between the tracks... And I can't see how you find the song "It Was There That I Saw You" bland in any way. I think the dynamic composition of that song is absolutely unique and genius.
I would say give it a few more tries and really focus on the bigger picture, how the songs work together, how the "story" progresses, how the mood affects the emotion, how the guitars work together etc.
One more thing... Do your version of the album come with the song "Invocation"? if not, you NEED to listen to it, its one of the most beautiful things ever.
>>61138483
Prolly because it's an amazing album
>>61143913
Underrated IMO. People just hate it because it's not Demon Days 2, yeah there are some shitty songs in there but some of their best too
>>61144627
Yeah, but there are many fucking amazing albums. But I guess Person Pitch is just that one for me.
>>61137250
This and Nevermind probably
I was a really angry and edgy teenager and I definitely hated my parents. Now im 22 and my relationship with them is weird as fuck because I realize now how retarded I was back then
Dont hate your parents, kids.

i knew of Hyperdub as a label starting around 2009 i think? because of Spaceape. but I only tried Untrue for the first time in 2011 because someone had it in a collage on here and i said to hell with it, i'll give it a shot.
i was caught on Untrue for weeks.
I didn't try Burial until Untrue's shine had worn down a little, but when i did, to me the older album sounded even better.
i guess Untrue has a little more sparkle? idk. mfw he wrote Archangel in two hours the day his dog died, fuck, the man is a god.
