You have one minute to explain to me why Peter Hammill isn't in your top 10/5 musicians of the 20th century.

This year I just realized it. Right now I'm listening to Chameleon in the Shadow of the Night album. His voice is amazing. He uses it like Hendrix used his guitar. Need to go through other his solo albums

Dude me too. His voice is just the half of it. He wrote/writes all his songs AND those of VDGG's ALONE.
He's literally a god.
'Over' might be one of the greatest break-up albums of all time. I listened to it again last night and I can very safely say that this is true

You can very clearly hear his anger and frustration in the way he plays this song

Oh, and this one, especially: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLPsB7NeVT8
This whole album is just great, I can't really say any individual song is my favorite. Makes me wonder why Pete is so rarely talked about on this board, because I almost feel like this is the sort of album that would be eventually rediscovered and subsequently discussed about a lot

I don't get it either man. It's really rather sad. How can someone this talented go this unrecognized.

He is, though.
Pawn Hearts is one of my all time favorite albums.
