Most mainstream EDM is on the same level as generic pop music. People who really love electronic music can notice how repetitive it can get, in a bad way. The festivals are shit, and are more around how big they can make them, and less about effort put in by the DJ's. And even then alot of the major EDM producers barely put effort in, look at Martin Garrix.

Beatles fans can be pretty bad. Since a majority of people in the Western world love to spout that the Beatles are the best band of all time without hardly listening to them. They hear a few good singles, read up a heavily opinionated article or hear older people say they were the best of all time and believe they're the best band ever. They always use a fallacious argument by saying record sells don't lie or say they did so much for popular music without being able to name the things they did for popular music. They talk about their "incredible recording techniques" even though the techniques were already common at the time or were already done by actual creative people like Frank Zappa or some shit. I've also heard people say the Beatles were the first to do a concept album and to not "just have a bunch of singles placed onto an LP" which is another total fucking lie. Frank Sinatra recorded one of the first concept albums and many other artists specifically recorded and arranged songs for an album. I've also heard people discuss The Beatles' lyrics as if they were spoken by god himself. Other than a few select songs, Beatle lyrics were simple and objectively shitty. Then I get to hear how avant garde they were. Everything that the Beatles did that was avant garde was a shitty attempt at being avant garde and genuinely pretentious. I also get to hear the classic "John or Paul?" question even though everybody should know that George was the best (objectively speaking of course). There's a lot more I'd like to bitch about but I'm not.
