early pre-Rakeem Hip-hop. And even 90s stuff can have dated production. Lots of 2000s Pop, especially Rap and R&B, like Usher and Anastacia, sounded like shit then, sounds even worse now, only 10 years later

Haven't listened to pic related, but I just listened to Mezzanine for the first time today. It wasn't spectacular, but I wouldn't necessarily say it aged poorly. Rap metal and nu metal on the other hand...
