Been seeing a lot of Nirvana posts as of late. I feel like their B-sides are their best work.
i agree, it all seems much less forced than their studio albums (not so much bleach, but definitely nevermind and 3/4 of in utero)
In Utero is their best, non debatable

OP here. I will agree with you that of the 3 albums, In Utero is superior. It was a middle finger to the people who wanted another plain grungy album. Not to mention, it has more emotion than Nevermind.

naw 50% of the songs on there are just as pop friendly as nevermind, and the musicianship of the album as a whole is generally inferior to both nevermind and bleach

In Utero is more grunge than Nevermind. Nevermind is more pop than In Utero.

serve the servants, heart shaped box, rape me, frances farmer, pennyroyal tea, all apologies are all poppy af

I can't see Frances Farmer getting played on the radio.
>mfw the acoustic version of "You know you're right"
>mfw "Old Age"
>mfw "Verse Chorus Verse"
>mfw "Sappy"

No Heart Shaped box is a twisted take on a pop song. It's dark and heavy and fits in with the other heavy dark songs on the album. Serve the Servants isn't really poppy it's more classic rock influenced. It's light but I wouldn't call it pop.

because they're too busy playing smells like teen spirit lol
