it seems like it's been a while since i was a beginner, so its hard for me to remember where i started. do you have an ear for music? i think generally what i did was listened to songs i liked and learned to play them by ear. i think i probably started with single string lead rather than chords, which is probably good because trying to make chords is super hard with your stiff fingers. so start off with something like come as you are or, i hate to say it, iron man. then move to power chords, then regular chords. I don't really like bar chords, and you'd probably find them hard bc of how flat you have to make your index finger

I basically learned guitar from playing elliott smith songs
