So I was just randomly googling shit about Merzbow, and found this:

this was literally written by a /mu/tant
>>61048966
How on earth is Druqks considered Incredibly Tough by any /mu/tant's standards? If you're gonna go for IDM, stuff like Music Is Rotted One Note is a lot better of a contender.
this is pathetic
COSMOGRAMMA IS ON THERE LMAO

You cannot be serious.
They legitimately think Flood is a difficult album?
Fucking christ.

>>61049951
It's only difficult because it's so fucking boring that it's hard not to turn off
>>61049983
Flood is a fucking masterpiece of Post-rock, not much I can do if your definition of interesting is chugga chugga metalcore.
>Basinkski!
>>61049995
I loved it the first time through but every listen since then has been a major snoozefest. Its whole gimmick is taking great ideas and repeating them forever without any variation.
If it makes you feel better, I still think part 1 is great and everything else would be amazing as well if they shed like 15-20 minutes off of the album.
I thought part one was the weakest part of the album. Everything else progresses at the perfect pace.

>forever without variation
>part i
>no variation
>part ii
>literally little no repetition
>part iii
>no variation
Aside from Part IV I don't see your point.
>it's whole gimmick
>gimmick
That's like saying Beefheart intentionally made Trout Mask Replica as weird as he possibly could, and he wasn't just making what he thought was a good rock album.

>That's like saying Beefheart intentionally made Trout Mask Replica as weird as he possibly could
>what is dada
I disagree with both of you and say that a work with a gimmick can still be good.
I personally find Flood to be a good album, but I'll admit, the repetition bored me at first, and for a while I didn't dig into it.
