How do I get more into jazz? Are there some good online communities? All I find are Coltrane, Davis and Mingus over and over again.

Also, jazz albums generally require more listenings than an average album to you to fully appreciate. Keep in mind there're several subgenres in jazz, you may have your own preferences.

Jazz is more a hand-to-hand recommendation style IMO. Go to local pubs or places where small bands play and chat to other guys in there

It's up there. Jazz covers during the 60's were so fucking inspired, it's crazy how much I take from those (working at design).
