Born Under Punches is its best song though

"no"

couldnt disagree more. The first two songs are better than the rest of the album.

Not at all true. Grace is good, sure, but Mojo Pin is just ok, and neither are as good as Eternal Life or Dream Brother
a script goes up in flames ...
>>60989295
Eh
Most of John's parts of the medley are lacking imo.

>>60989503
Lover You Should've Come Over is a masterpiece though.

>better than March of the Black Queen

Yeah but the question is does side B beat side A? The answer is unequivocally yes. Subtract Maxwell's and side A is two great songs at the beginning, an okay Paul one, a John moody noodling jam and also Ringo singing about an octopus. Doesn't hold a candle.

>The answer is unequivocally yes
And I'd still disagree there. Some of us like John's moody noodling jam.
I agree that it's better than side a, I don't agree that it's substantially better.

Plus Edit the Sad Parts as a bonus track.
Live At Sin-e is his masterpiece

I love Jeff as a performer, but I think he's only an average songwriter. Lover, you should've come over, Grace, and, Mojo pin, are really good though.

This.
>>60990463
fun fact, he only wrote the vocal melodies/lyrics for mojo pin and grace
the most obvious answer
>>60989316
Absolutely disagree. Born Under Punches, Crosseyed and Painless, and The Great Curve have some of the most interesting songwriting I've ever heard, and it's kind of a shame that style didn't persist the entire album imo. I still absolutely love the rest of the album, but in a different respect I guess

Strongly disagree with these.
Grace is pretty consistent in quality, Mojo Pin and Last Goodbye are two of the best songs on the album. I would say Lover You Should've Come Over is the best song though, which is on the second half.
The three best songs on RiL occur in the first half you big dummy.
