this... the fuck is wrong you op?

Actually there is no problem in using an EQ as long as you subtract the frequencies.
yeah, if your speakers/headphones aren't great you can look up their frequency response curve, adjust EQ to compensate accordingly, and then check your work by running a full-spectrum sine sweep and verifying that everything seems to be about the same volume

I take out the highs so I can listen to STGTV and still be able to listen to music later.
>>60983002
flat frequency response headphones, no EQ. i don't spend money on songs just to have to master them myself.
plus, surely for it to make any sense you'd have to change your EQ settings for every song
>>60983398
Yes, i do this when i have to use shitty chinese $2 earphones, with nice and unexpected results.
>>60983398
how to do that on musicbee senpai?
>>60983002
aight

actually there is a problem with using an eq for anything outside of taking measurments of the space you are in, and only using that eq setting for the song/album you are playing back
literally everything is mastered by the record, or even down to the song.
eq'ing is little more than adding more shit to audio equitment to make people think they can make shit sound better
all you are doing when adjusting an eq is fucking up the sound
>wutislogorythmicpotentiometors
good fucking question you tard, unless a control is active, it goes from a negative number to 1, as in 100%
99% of audio equitment vintage and modern uses logorythmic pots, meaning theres no such thing as turning something down, you only limit its output.

I don't use EQ, but I run a 24db lowpass filter at 8500 hz to make everything warmer.
>>60983672
how to do what? look up FRC? adjust EQ? run a sine sweep? the answer is
