So I've listened to pretty much every grunge band, but I was never able to get into Nirvana.
What album should I start with?

OP, Nirvana isn't grunge in the way that Mudhoney or Tad is grunge. They're a really singular document and while you can tell all their influences when you listen, you can also tell it really is a completely new presentation of those influences

other grunge is miles ahead of Nirvana. But i'd recommend you start with Nevermind, then go into Bleach if you want full on grunge, then you can go into Incesticide or In Utero for the noise rock/grunge hybrid sound they developed before he died.
