Alright boys. I'm getting an EVH 5150 III 50 Watt to compliment my 100 Watt variant so i can use a smaller one for recording and a big one for gigs.
Which cab should i get to compliment it that isnt the 5150 III 4x12
i'd prefer a 4x12 for less than 1000 bucks.
overrated amp desu. nice but there is better. I think the original 5150/6505 has better tone. Heck even a Marshall DSL or JCM900-SLX are better.

Really depends. I kinda prefer the III over the 6505. It sounds more clean where as the 6505's that i've tried sound kind of muddy and the dynamics just aren't as there for me.

the JCM2000 DSLs are killer amps. put a boost in front it will do anything the 5153 can do. and it will sound less generic doing it.

I use a boost on every amp i use no matter what. Maxon OD-808. Even if i just zero the Gain on the pedal, its nice to have something to tighten up the sound.
