So I listened to the post-punk charts and the post-punk mu-core albums, where do I from here? Most of it was hit or miss but I really like the genre.
Also post-punk general, I guess.

Wll, Television stands out as one of my favorites. Bush Tetras, Martin Rev, Liquid Liquid and Lizzy Mercier Descloux were all fantastic.
And everything in the Cold-wave category ended up being really decent for a genre I've never heard of.
I didn't really dig the more experimental and weird sparse sounding stuff, but maybe I'm just a pleb getting used to the genre.
RYM charts sucks, only the most popular bands show up.

idk if youve heard them yet but japandroids, japanther, and iceage. but then again ive only really touched the surface of post punk, and idk if youd even call touche amore post punk...

Dark post-punk is best post-punk.
No, not talking about gothic rock. Let's leave all the "muh batcave" and "muh dances" here. Think about coldwave, but darker, rawer and more nihilistic.

That maybe the case but the conversations never go beyond shitposting lyrics and which of their works were more or less experimental. Even jazz threads have more substance
