In a 93 rolling stone interview with David Fricke he said he was out of ideas, and in 94 his relationship with his band was falling apart. if he lived he would've reluctantly put out another record and it would've been panned as "more of the same" from nirvana because he lost the passion to create new shit.
he would inevitably get a divorce because his marriage was falling apart as well, and the media would crush him because of how he always complained about his own parents' divorce. being critically panned by the press, reports of his heroin addiction going out of control and losing cultural relevance would be too humiliating for him.
