ITT: Music to cry to.
Cry with me, /mu/.
no fuck you
no fuck you
no fuck you
I love music to ____\ threads
crywank. carseat headrest
Elliott Smith. Anything he made
Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel
Wilco - Poor Places
Geto Boys - My Mind is Playing Tricks on Me

reminder that this is their worst album
I bought this album before I knew it was a meme. Loved it then and love it now
Only Ones Who Know - Arctic Monkeys
Misery is a Butterfly - Blonde Redhead
Gymnopedies No.1 - Erik Satie
365 - Paz Lenchantin
Svefn-g-englar - Sigor Ros
Your Ex-Lover is Dead - Stars
Boys Don't Cry - The Cure
Gone Forever - Ulrich Schnauss

Elliott Smith is great
>>60867604
I still don't understand the whole meme thing. It's a good album, don't know why it gets shit on here.
>>60867604
Nobody thinks this album is a meme. Fantano tried to turn it into one and failed. It's just straight-up a good sad album.
Pic related is better for feels IMO though.
>>60867483
For me The Antlers saddest song is "Putting the Dog To Sleep". Every line is so depressing.
Only song off that album that I'm iffy about is Two. I get that's it's a fuck you, enough is enough song, but the guitar is just weird.
>>60868123
But that song at least has some glimmer of hope to it / a general sense of comfort. I guess you could argue that the end of Hospice has that too but the vast majority of the album is just crushing despair.

>It's a good album
nice meme, lads :^)
>>60868021
its a meme because it always gets posted in a "post sad albums" thread.
it's not inherently bad, but the production is pretty mediocre for the first half of the album, and the lyrics attempts at making you feel feels are pretty heavy-handed, which has the opposite effect on some people.

I cry alone, bitch
Going to Georgia and No Children by The Mountain Goats
>>60868166
well anon, can you prove to me that i'm not gonna die alone?
>>60870672
I like the goats but you're a retard
They have a shitton of cry-worthy songs (Matthews 25:21, Get Lonely entirely, Pale Green Things) but Going to Georgia isn't even sad and who the fuck cries to No Children
>>60869314
listening to sad music isn't going to help you break the cycle of sadness. you need upbeat music or music to cheer you up in general.
i got you.

I almost cried to Since I left you ( the song) but I never liked the album
Wuthering heights.
What's a song you could listen to while crying that sounds like its mocking you making you cry more intensely in the process?
A Sadness Runs Through Him - The Hoosiers
Thismaybetheyear - Mystery Skulls
Call Me - Shinedown
Pretty much any track off of the album Wildlife - La Dispute
Weak - Seether
Moment - Eye Empire
Heartbreaking Music - Lagwagon
Bro Hymn - Pennywise
Some of these songs don't sound "sad," per se. It's mostly the context behind the songs that make them sad (i.e. Bro Hymn being a tribute to the deaths of three friends of the band)
>>60871756
is this a joke?
i've been gone a long time. And this is why.
>>60871311
This is like the worst chart... Someone needs to make a legit suicide chart.
I got shitfaced alone and sobbed to this in my bathtub the other night after I got rejected by a girl
>>60868322
>lyrics attempts at making you feel feels are pretty heavy-handed, which has the opposite effect on some people
I'm not enough of a tryhard I guess. Or maybe I just understand that lyrics are never serious
>>60867483
I cry to this album for personal reasons.
>>60873313
YOUR NAME IS FUCK
FUCK
FUCK
FUCK
>>60868080
>Fantano tried to turn it into one and failed.
What happened? I know he doesn't like it but when did he try to meme it?
This obviously
>>60871311
>>60873290
Yeah that's a bullshit chart
>>60868205
you're only making everything worse
